Dan is a resolute problem solver, collaborator, and communicator.  As a registered fire protection engineer, he provides our team extensive experience in design, acceptance testing, and product development under the requirements of the IBC, IFC, Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) and UL and FM Global listing and approval criteria for new and existing buildings.

Dan's 10+ years of experience providing fire and life safety engineering services for multiple project types nationwide has included the roles of authority having jurisdiction, owner's representative, designer of record, and laboratory technician. With such a wide variety of experience, Dan acts as an advocate for both the design team and client while maintaining a holistic understanding of all stakeholders. Focusing beyond the bottom line, he applies specialized knowledge and expertise so that our partners can spend design time and efforts effectively, ensuring seamless solutions for our client’s occupants and property that endure beyond the duration of the project.

Dan can usually be found on his bike, shuttling between coffee shops and breweries in pursuit of the perfect pour.  When the weather is less than compliant, he wanders the halls of one of Denver's many museums.

Dan is actively involved in the Society of Fire Protection Engineer's Professional Development Committee.  This committee is charged with developing and maintaining a strategic continuing education plan for the Society; developing core educational content; providing guidance on topics and content; providing guidance on the delivery formats and methods; implementing the instructor review and approval process; and providing guidance on use of relevant education from other allied organizations.
